Keene Public Library To Host Spooktacular October Events

Come to the Keene Public Library to prepare for Halloween with special events for children and families. Library programs are free and open to the public.

  • STEAM Studio: Light-up cards.Thursday, October 21 at 4 p.m. This virtual program is geared for children 8-13. Those who sign up will get a crafting kit with an assortment of paper and other crafting supplies to open a world of possibilities with paper cards. Be prepared to share ideas, ask questions, and share what you make with others. Register for this virtual program at to receive a Zoom invitation.
  • Family Halloween Party. Friday, October 29 at 4 p.m. Enjoy crafts and games in the Keene Public Library Courtyard. Costumes encouraged. Participants can make a trick-or-treat bag and trick-or-treat for books throughout the Keene Public Library while learning about the great benefits of having a library card.
  • Outdoor Interactive Movie Event. Friday, October 29 at 7 p.m. Watch a classic 1988 family movie as you've never seen it before in this interactive movie event, where we invite the audience to dress up, shout out, eat snacks, and interact with one another in fun and hilarious ways.
  • Spooky Stories. Saturday, October 30 at 11 a.m. Meet in the library courtyard for slightly spooky stories and silly songs. This program is for children of all ages and their families or caregivers.

Please register for these special events at the Keene Public Library's calendar at Participants are asked not to attend if they are sick. Social distancing, hand washing,  and face masks are encouraged at all events.
