In honor of National StoryWalk® Week (November 7-11), Keene Public Library has placed an exciting seasonal story, "Fletcher and the Falling Leaves," by Julia Rawlinson, along the paths at Ashuelot River Park located at 273 West Street. As the leaves fall from his favorite tree, Fletcher worries that something is wrong. But then winter comes and with it a wonderful surprise. The book published by HarperCollins features soft glowing illustrations and a warm, lyrical text.
StoryWalk® is an engaging outdoor reading activity that promotes physical activity and literacy for adults and children! As you stroll down the path, you will come across a new page of the story.
The StoryWalk® at Ashuelot River Park was purchased by the Keene Public Library Board of Trustees with donations given in memory of Chris Weeks, a passionate reader, writer, and Library Trustee who loved to walk along the Ashuelot River.
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vt. and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
Please call Keene Public Library at 603-352-0157 with questions about the Storywalk® or other literacy events and activities.
