This year’s theme: “Touch-a-Truck"
Bring the whole family to explore some of the coolest city equipment up close — it’s fun for kids and adults!

Here’s what’s in store:
Free food: burgers, hot dogs, and ice cream
Games & activities (plus a snowplow naming contest)
Meet City staff and learn about local projects, services, and job opportunities

For parking, please use the Connection lot via the police department entrance. There will be staff members directing traffic.

Come for the trucks, stay for the fun, and connect with your community!

There is a prohibition on outdoor burning and consumer fireworks discharge starting at 9:00 A.M., Saturday, August 9, 2025, until further notice due to the high fire danger forecast. Please help us keep our community safe and spread the word to local friends, family, and neighbors.

The notice posted at KeeneNH.gov/Fire will be updated when the ban is lifted.

Key Dates:
Municipal Primary: Tuesday, October 7, 2025
Municipal General Election: Tuesday, November 4, 2025

File by Declaration of Candidacy at the City Clerk’s Office in Keene City Hall:
Opens: Wed, August 20 at 8 AM
Closes: Tue, Sept 9 at 5 PM
Fee: $5 for Mayor | $2 for other candidates

File by Petition at the City Clerk’s Office in Keene City Hall:
Opens: Wed, August 20 at 8 AM
Closes: Fri, Sept 12 at 5 PM
Requirement: 50 signatures from registered voters in your ward/district

All candidates must be registered voters residing in the ward or district they wish to represent.

The positions that are on the ballot this year are Mayor, Ward Councilor and Councilor-at-Large (Top vote-getters advance to the General Election in November).

Then, on November 4, for the General Election, the positions are: Mayor, Ward Councilor, Councilor-at-Large, Ward Moderator, Ward Clerk, Checklist Supervisor, and Selectman
