The Keene Public Works Department will be conducting maintenance on the the pump station that services the Glen Road/Darling Road neighborhoods between 4:00 AM and 7:00 AM tomorrow, Friday, July 18, 2025. Customers in this area may experience a drop in water pressure during this work.

While pressure may be reduced during this time, customers should be assured that water is still safe to use and consume during this work.

Local low-level flights Near Keene

Many people have noticed an aircraft flying at low altitudes around the Monadnock region in the last few weeks. These flights are part of a US Geological Surveys project to conduct smart mapping of the area over Keene NH and into Massachusetts and Connecticut.

The aircraft used for these flights is a Cessna Caravan similar to the attached photo, they will be flown by experienced pilots who are trained and approved for low-level flying. These pilots work with the FAA to ensure flights are safe and in accordance with FAA regulations.
