A big thank you to Eversource for their generous tree donation program. Last week they held their pickup day for the free trees that community members had signed up for earlier in the season — and what a great day it was.

Pictured (left to right): Dane D'Arcangelo (Supervisor, Program Administration, Vegetation Management, Eversource), Ian Farley (Manager, Vegetation Management, Eversource), Elizabeth Ferland (City Manager, City of Keene), Bettina Chadbourne (City Councilor, City of Keene), Connor Tilton (Field Oversight, Vegetation Management, Eversource), Joe Hoebeke (Community Relations Specialist, Western New Hampshire Region, Eversource) — all helping make our community a little greener.

🌟 WOW! is Back in Keene! 🌟

The City of Keene is excited to announce the return of Ward Optimization Weeks (WOW!), our popular initiative that focuses City maintenance efforts one ward at a time. From road repairs to graffiti cleanup, WOW! ensures fair, responsive, and visible improvements in every corner of our community.

🛠️ What’s in Store?
Each week, crews will zero in on a different ward to:
✔️ Patch roads & repaint crosswalks
✔️ Replace signs & trim vegetation
✔️ Maintain sidewalks & hydrants
✔️ Clean storm drains, sewers & culverts
✔️ Remove litter & graffiti—and more!

📆 Summer 2025 WOW! Schedule
Ward 5: July 7–11
Ward 4: July 14–18
Ward 3: July 21–25
Ward 2: July 28–Aug 1
Ward 1: Aug 4–8

📣 “The public response to the WOW! Program last fall was terrific,” said Public Works Director Don Lussier. “I’m very grateful that the City Council has supported this effort.”
