Construction Update: What Pedestrians Can Expect
Pedestrian and sidewalk access during construction will continue to be a priority.
Crews will maintain pedestrian access during construction. If work requires a section of sidewalk to be removed, a temporary sidewalk will be installed to help people continue moving safely through the area.
All temporary pedestrian routes will remain ADA accessible.
As construction moves through downtown, you may notice pedestrian routes shift from time to time. Please follow posted signs and any directions from construction crews. These changes help keep everyone safe while work is underway.
Thank you for your patience and for continuing to support our downtown businesses during construction. Visit KeeneNH.gov/downtown to learn more.

Construction Update: What to Expect After Work Hours
When construction ends each day, any trenches and excavated areas will be filled and brought up to street level. To allow vehicles to continue moving through the area in the evenings and overnight.
Before each weekend, crews will install temporary asphalt in work areas to provide a smoother driving surface while construction is paused.
These temporary surfaces are not the finished roadway, so you may notice changes as work continues. The temporary gravel and pavement are designed to keep traffic moving, but they are not the same as a finished road surface. Please drive slowly, follow posted signs, and use extra caution when traveling through construction zones.
Thank you for your patience as we continue making long-term improvements to downtown. Visit KeeneNH.gov/downtown to learn more.
