Last week, our Community Development team toured a new apartment construction project that’s helping move Keene’s housing goals forward. Encouraging new housing has been a major priority for the City of Keene, and over the past few years, staff have been working intentionally to update local codes to help streamline the processes for development.

This project is a great example of that work in action. By collaborating closely with the developer, the City helped clear the path for progress—and once complete, this development will add 57 new housing units to our community. We’re excited to see this project (and others) take shape.
