The Keene Heritage Commission presents an interactive story map exploring the heart of Keene’s historic Italian neighborhood — an area once home to generations of Italian families who built community, culture, and craftsmanship around Island, Pearl, and West Streets. Through the crowdsourced story map, residents uploaded their memories, photographs, and oral histories so that the neighborhood’s rich past becomes a living part of our city’s story.
