🚧 PARKING BAN – MARLBORO STREET
A Maintenance parking ban will be in effect tomorrow, Wednesday, November 4, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM on both sides of Marlboro Street, from Main Street to Eastern Avenue, to allow crews to complete pavement line painting.
🚗 Please move all vehicles off the affected section of Marlboro Street during these hours.

The City of Keene, Hundred Nights, and community partners are preparing for a winter warming shelter starting December 7th at the UCC (to be open through April 5th – contingent upon funding). Please share the December 7th opening date and have individuals call Hundred Nights at (603) 352-5197 for intake.
Additional community financial support and volunteers will be important to sustain the shelter for the full 120-day period.

The Transportation Heritage Trail new extension from Eastern Ave. to Route 101 is now open!
The Transportation Heritage Trail (THT) is the next chapter in the ongoing
development of Keene's beloved Cheshire Rail Trail System. It picks up where the previously completed Industrial Heritage Trail (IHT) leaves off near Eastern Avenue – extending the trail network southward and reconnecting a historic transportation corridor that once spanned from the Massachusetts border to the Vermont border. The project took shape through a strong partnership between the City of Keene and Pathways for Keene (PFK), a local nonprofit. As early as September 2020, the City of Keene Heritage Commission formally endorsed the project, recognizing its potential to provide recreation, economic, health, and transportation benefits while celebrating Keene's local history and heritage. The City was selected for both a Congressionally Directed Spending grant and a Transportation Alternatives grant, together funding 80% of this phase of the project which constructed approximately one mile of trail from Eastern Avenue to the north side of Route 101. The result is a safe, accessible trail corridor for walkers, cyclists, and the broader community.
