Beginning Friday, April 10, 2026, George Street will be closed to through pedestrian and vehicle traffic and detoured to allow the City’s contractor to install water, sewer, and drainage infrastructure as part of the George Street bridge replacement project near #44 George Street.
This work, and the associated closure, is anticipated to be completed by April 18, 2026. Traffic will be restored to normal operations at the end of each business day during construction. Additional updates will be provided as the project progresses.
