Mayor Jay V. Kahn has recognized August 9, 2026, as Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run Day in the City of Keene, welcoming the international Peace Run team as they passed through the community.
The Peace Run is an international torch relay that promotes peace, friendship, goodwill, and mutual respect among people of all nations. As part of its 2026 journey through all 50 states in celebration of the United States’ 250th anniversary, the City of Keene joined communities around the world in celebrating the values of understanding, compassion, and harmony.
