Let’s Ride for Safer Streets! Come ride, observe, and help shape recommendations for safer, more welcoming streets for everyone.
What to Expect:
Our group will meet at Wheelock Park for a brief overview of the route and safety information, then bike together along an approximately 3.5-mile route. During the ride, you will be asked to observe roadway conditions, bike infrastructure, traffic, and other factors that affect bicycle safety. At the end, we will share ideas and recommendations for improving safety for people who bike.
Important: The route includes a stretch along West Street, where traffic is heavy. Please consider your comfort and riding ability when registering.
What We’ll Provide: Water, Snacks, Sunscreen, Bug spray, T-shirts and reflective vests
What You Need to Bring: A bicycle in good working order and a bicycle helmet
