Keene Public Library offers maker activities for people of all ages.
The Kingsbury Makerspace is located in the Keene Public Library in Keene, NH. The Makerspace provides state-of-the-art computer-assisted machines, tools, and knowledgeable staff to help you learn new skills to pursue your creative interests. We offer training either in-person or through our virtual learning platform for you to become certified users of the Kingsbury Makerspace. Equipment available to you includes a 3D printer, laser engraver, sewing machines, large-format vinyl cutter, Accu-Cut die cutter, and over 200 dies, as well as the Monadnock Grows Together Seed and Tool Lending Library.
The Kingsbury Makerspace is intended for use by people ages 14 and older who are certified KPL Makers. Makers under age 14 must be supervised by a certified adult (18 or older). For some equipment, a certified adult must supervise makers under the age of 16.
Keene Public Library offers some introductory training and equipment orientation through an online learning portal. You can sign up for one of these trainings and learn a bit about our Makespace and its tools from the comfort of your home. You can take our Introduction to the Kingsbury Makerspace through our online learning portal.
The Youth Department now has a TOYBOX 3D printer for kids and caregivers as young as 5, and the Teen Space will have a 3D printer soon!
We are particularly proud of our Little Makers programming for young children and families. (#LG-95-18-0191-18)
