Keene Public Works will begin charging interest on delinquent utility bills on July 10, 2026. Customers with past-due balances as of July 10 will see additional interest charges on their next quarterly bill. The new fees, approved by the City Council on May 21, 2026, are being instituted to reduce the number and amount of delinquent accounts.
To avoid additional fees, customers are encouraged to pay their full balance due on or before July 9, 2026. Customers on a payment plan will not incur interest charges as long as they remain current.
