Mayor Kahn presented Anna Dumond a proclamation on February 29th, 2025 congratulating her for her exceptional achievements and dedication. Anna Dumond began her skiing career at the young age of two years old. In 2024, a serious skiing accident resulted in a fractured femur and a year of dedicated physical rehabilitation. After a full recovery, Anna returned to the Keene High School girls’ alpine ski team for her senior year. At this year’s New Hampshire Division I Championships, facing over 90 skiers statewide, Anna placed fourth in the giant slalom and captured the New Hampshire Division I State Championship in the slalom. Anna’s dedication and triumph serve as an inspiring example, demonstrating that resilience and hard work can overcome any obstacle, and her achievements bring pride to her family, her school, and the entire Keene community.
