Keene Dillant-Hopkins Airport (EEN) Reconstruct Taxiway ‘A’ (3,500’ x 35’) Reconstruct Taxiway ‘A3’ (440’ x 35’) and Reconstruct Taxiway ‘T’ (250’ x 25’) Project Update #14

Keene Dillant-Hopkins Airport (EEN) is working on a taxiway reconstruction project on the airfield for taxiways ‘A’, A3’ and ‘T’. The existing pavement has served its design life and is being reconstructed. The Scope of Work items will include, but not be limited to erosion control, demolition, lighting, storm drainage, grading, paving, and marking and turf restoration
for disturbed areas.

Project Update: Construction is nearly complete. Paving of the taxiways and the T-Hangar aprons was completed Monday and Tuesday. Paint striping was completed Thursday. Today, Friday May 22 we will be re-opening all remaining closed areas.

Upcoming Impacts: Tuesday May 26 hydroseeding will take place along the taxiways and in the south staging area. Momentary blockages will be happening on TXY A and TXY T, but no closures of surfaces are planned.

Additional Work: Casella will be de-mobilizing next week and the project will be substantially complete. A few minor punch list items may remain for future dates. The silt fence will be removed after the grass has grown in. While the silt fence remains in place the taxiways will be restricted to aircraft with a wingspan of 49 feet or less.

The City and Airport Management are pleased with the work Cassella Construction did on this project and appreciate they were able to keep the schedule as written for this spring’s completion of the project. Airport Management wishes to thank all airport users who were inconvenienced by this construction for their patience while these upgrades to airport infrastructure were completed.
