Mayor Kahn read a proclamation at the Keene International Festival on September 28, 2024 encouraging all citizens and individuals in our City to learn about the many cultures that are represented in the Monadnock region of New Hampshire and further acknowledging and recognizing the rich contributions different cultures have made to humanity. Keene International Festival showcases and celebrates the rich cultural diversity of the Keene community through activities that engage and connect people to each other. This year’s festival attendees enjoyed music and dance performances from fourteen countries and five continents and foods from ten vendors and eight countries including, Africa, India, Japan, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Finland, Jamaica, Greece, Thailand, Nepal, Costa Rico, Haiti and Columbia.
