On March 18, 2026, Mayor Jay V. Kahn officially proclaimed “Ron Farina Day” to celebrate the 88th birthday and extraordinary civic legacy of a lifelong Keene resident. A proud graduate of Keene High School and UNH, Ron has spent decades strengthening the city’s social and economic fabric through his businesses, including The Melody Shop and the Fitness Factory, and his 50-year commitment to the Keene Lions Club. From producing community musicals to championing the local growth of pickleball for over 300 residents, Ron’s leadership and adherence to the Golden Rule have left an indelible mark on the spirit of Keene.
