Green Up Keene

Green Up Keene

Join us to Green up Keene!

Green Up Keene is an annual event in which the community comes together to help beautify Keene! This year’s event is set for Saturday, April 26, 2025. There will be a drive-thru supply pickup at Keene Public Works (located at 350 Marlboro Street) from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Supplies can also be picked up beforehand by coordinating with Andrea Bixby at 603-352-6550 or abixby@keenenh.gov.

Typically, several hundred people turn out during Green Up Keene weekend and the days surrounding it to help clean up Keene’s streets, trails and parks. The difference it makes is very noticeable and it is a great community-building effort!

The Highway Division will place dumpsters around the City prior to the event, and will drive around the following Monday to pick up trash that has been collected by volunteers and placed in the blue “NH the Beautiful” bags.

A map of participating groups and the areas that they have adopted is available here. Areas on the map in green have already been adopted for this year, areas in tan are reserved for returning volunteers until April 18, 2025, and all other areas are currently still available. If you would like to help out, take a look at the map and choose a spot that is near and dear to you and email Andrea to claim it – or just show up on Saturday the 26th and we’ll send you to an area that needs attention!

Andrea Bixby, Office Manager at Public Works, is our volunteer coordinator. For event details or questions, contact Andrea at 603-352-6550 or abixby@keenenh.gov or fill out the form below!
