Green Up Keene
Green Up Keene is an annual event that brings the community together to help beautify Keene. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
Pick up supplies at the drive-thru supply station at Keene Public Works (350 Marlboro Street) from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. If you need supplies before the event, contact Andrea Bixby at 603-352-6550 or abixby@keenenh.gov to arrange pickup.
Each year, several hundred volunteers participate during Green Up Keene weekend and the surrounding days to clean up Keene’s streets, trails, and parks. Their efforts make a noticeable difference and help strengthen our community.
Before the event, the Highway Division will place dumpsters around the city. On the following Monday, crews will drive around the city to collect trash that volunteers placed in the blue “NH the Beautiful” bags.
The 2026 map of participating groups and adopted areas is now available. Green areas on the map show locations that volunteers have already adopted this year. Tan areas remain reserved for returning volunteers until Friday, April 17, 2026, and all other areas are currently available. If you would like to help, review the map, choose a location that matters to you, and email Andrea to claim it. You can also simply show up on Saturday the 25th, and we will assign you to an area that needs attention.
Andrea Bixby, Office Manager at Public Works, coordinates volunteers for the event. For more information or questions, contact Andrea at 603-352-6550, abixby@keenenh.gov, or complete the form below.
