Winchester Street Reconstruction Project Update 11/8/22

On Wednesday, November 9, 2022, the City’s contractor, BUR Construction, will be performing temporary line painting on Winchester Street, Key Road, and the entrance to Riverside Plaza. The temporary signal configuration will also be adjusted. Once line painting is completed within the current phase 2 work zone, all traffic will be shifted to the western side of the street. Line striping will then be performed on the eastern side of the street. Finally, traffic will be shifted once more to resemble the existing pattern on the street. Concrete barriers will be shifted to allow two lanes of travel in each direction. Please use caution as you travel through the work zone. Delays are expected as drivers adjust to the temporary traffic patterns.

Due to utility delays, the full roundabout at Key Road will not be completed this year. Work remaining for the spring of 2023 will include: curbing for the median islands and the western side of Winchester Street, concrete sidewalks, signage, and lighting. Once we receive the full schedule for 2023 we will provide further updates.
