On Monday, October 3, 2022, the City’s contractor will shift traffic lanes to the east to allow the second phase of 2022 roundabout construction work, which is expected to last about 1.5 months. This will be done using concrete barriers, temporary lane striping, and adjustments to the temporary signal. A minimum of one lane in either direction will be maintained. Due to overhead poles that have not yet been removed by the private utilities, a dedicated left turn lane will not be provided for northbound traffic turning onto Key Road. To reduce expected delays at the traffic signal, we recommend that all traffic to Riverside Plaza enter through the southern driveway near Jersey Mikes, which will be re-opened.
Driveways for all properties along the western side of the corridor will be maintained. These will be delineated using cones and barrels through the work zone. Please note that access to these driveways must be from the southbound lane. We will be installing temporary delineators along the centerline to prevent cross traffic and reduce conflict. Delays are expected, especially as drivers adjust to the new pattern. Please plan your travel accordingly. See map here for the approximate layout.
