The City of Keene Public Works Department will accept excavation permits for planned, non-emergency work until the close of business on Friday, November 14, 2025. Contractors must restore all pavement and sidewalks they disturb no later than the close of business on Wednesday, November 26, 2024.
After November 14, 2025, the City Engineer will review emergency excavation permit requests only when necessary to restore service to existing customers. Contractors completing emergency excavations must place a temporary patch and return next season to remove and replace it.
