Summer Youth Program
The Summer Youth Program employs Keene residents who are at least 14 years of age – but not yet 16 years as of June 1, 2026, for an introductory employment experience. This program teaches time management, how the City operates, leadership development, and more. The best part is that they get paid!
Youth work in various departments throughout the city part time for 5-6 weeks during the summer (end of June, July and beginning of August).

Tentative 2026 Timeline:
Fill out Summer Youth Workers Application from Monday, March 13 to Sunday, April 19th.
April 19th: Applications close.
April 20st – May 1st :Interviews will take place
The first week of May: Youth will be notified regarding employment
The first week of June: Youth will be meeting with Youth Services on a weekly basis.
Friday, June 19th: Employment assignments begin.
The last week of July: The program ends.
