The City’s program launched in 2023, providing an additional 10% of voluntary renewable energy in the default product, Keene Standard. In the renewed contract beginning December 2025, Keene Standard will now provide 50% total renewable energy. The new products in the program will increase annual voluntary renewable energy purchases to an estimated total of 13,670 megawatt-hours (MWh), avoiding 9.7 million pounds of carbon pollution each year.

No action is necessary for current participants to receive the new pricing for the current Keene supply option. Those who use “Keene Standard” or “Keene 50” presently will automatically receive the new price for “Keene Standard”. To check what Keene Community Power supply option is currently used, people may view the Supply section of their current Eversource electricity bill. For those who presently participate in the program, the current supply rate will appear as one of the “Old Prices”.

New prices take effect on the December 2025 meter read. The first bill to show the new Keene Community Power pricing will be the bill showing usage from the December 2025 meter read to January 2026 meter read. Most customers can expect to receive this bill in January 2026.

Keene Community Power prices only apply to the Supply portion of an electricity bill and take effect on the meter read date. Eversource will continue to set the charges for Delivery and will repair outages and manage all billing. Customers who receive a discount on their electricity bill through the Electric Assistance Program (EAP) will continue to receive their benefits. Budget
billing customers will continue to receive budget billing for the Delivery Services portion of the bill.

Those who are not currently participating in Keene Community Power may join any time by submitting a request at KeeneCommunityPower.com.
