Keene’s Municipal General Election will be held on November 4, 2025. In addition to voting for City positions, there will be two questions on the ballot.
The first question is about Keno. The question asks whether Keene should prohibit Keno games from operating in the city. A YES vote means you are in favor of prohibiting Keno in Keene. A NO vote means you are in favor of allowing Keno to operate under State Lottery regulations. If the majority vote Yes, Keno will not be permitted in Keene. If the majority vote No, licensed retailers may offer Keno beginning June 1, 2027.
The second question is about Social Districts. The question asks whether the City should be allowed to create these districts. A YES vote means you are in favor of allowing the City Council to establish social districts—designated outdoor areas where alcoholic beverages purchased from participating businesses could be consumed. A NO vote means you are in favor of prohibiting social districts in Keene. If the majority vote Yes, the City Council may create local rules and boundaries for any district in accordance with State law.
