The City of Keene recognizes Kids to Parks Day as a celebration that encourages children and families to explore local parks, public lands, and waterways while fostering a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors. Established by the National Park Trust, this annual observance promotes active, healthy lifestyles and responsible recreation in natural spaces.
In celebration, residents are invited to join the Mayor and members of the City of Keene’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Pathway Committee for a community ride along Keene’s rail trails and parks on May 16, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Railroad Square.
