AudioVisual Materials

The Library has audio-visual collections for adults, teens, and children.

Audiobooks include many CDs, Playaways, and VOX books, plus MP3 downloadable audiobooks (Keene Public Library card required)

  • To search in the Catalog just for Audiobooks, go to Keene-Link and choose "Keene Public Library Audiobooks" from the drop-down menu.

  • You can also do a Subject search using the word "audiobooks" or "audiobooks on compact disc" or "audiobooks downloadable KPL" or "childrens audiobooks".

Music CDs - On the first floor, musical recordings for adults are arranged on the shelves by "genre," such as Classical, Jazz, Folk, Popular, Rock, etc. In the Youth Department, recordings are arranged by the recording artist.

  • You can search for these using Keene-Link, by performer or composer (do an author search), by title of album (title search), or by song title (using the Keyword search). Search for children's recordings with the subject "children's songs."

  • You can search for just musical recordings by choosing "Keene Public Library Musical Recordings" from the drop-down menus.

DVDs - These include many documentaries, TV series, feature films, and shorts.  They can be checked out for a one-week loan period.

  • You can find them by searching under title, author (for producers, actors, writers), by subjects, or by doing a subject search for "DVDs Keene Public Library" or "DVDs (Keene Public Library - Juvenile)"

  • You can search just DVDs by choosing "Keene Public Library Videos & DVDs" from the drop-down menus.

Streaming Video The library subscribes to the following streaming video services (Keene Public Library card required).

  • BookFlix is an online literacy resource that pairs interactive, fictional video storybooks with related nonfiction eBooks. A Keene Public Library card is required for access.
  • Kanopy  Thousands of movies, documentaries, and educational courses.
