February is Black History Month and the Keene Public Library has resources for your use throughout the month and during school vacation week. Student art collected by the City’s Human Rights Committee for Martin Luther King Day is on display. Other events at the Library include:
- The Youth Department has a display highlighting African American poets and another display focusing on local (NH) African American people and events.
- On February 5 we had an art program for school age kids about Alma Thomas.
- Throughout the month there is a scavenger hunt in the youth room about firsts of African Americans.
