Mayor Jay V. Kahn has proclaimed September 17–23, 2026, as Constitution Week in Keene, recognizing the anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1787 and New Hampshire’s role as the ninth state to ratify the document.
The proclamation encourages residents to reflect on the principles of liberty, justice, and the rule of law, as well as the rights and responsibilities of citizenship. It also recognizes Constitution Week’s origins with the Daughters of the American Revolution and its annual observance nationwide.
