Good afternoon,
Crews working in Central Square made significant progress this past week. Liberty Utilities continued installation of the new gas line on the east side of Central Square, while Casella Construction continued exploratory excavations and preparations for new underground utilities on West Street and the west side of Central Square. Three (3) trees on the west side of Central Square were also removed and transplanted to a new location.
Liberty Utilities and Casella Construction will have crews on site next week, with impacts to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Drivers should expect periodic lane shifts and temporary detours throughout the week. Traffic signs, flaggers, and cones will be used to safely direct traffic around work zones.

Throughout the week, Casella Construction will continue preparations for installation of underground utility lines along the east side of Central Square, including curbing and light pole removal.
