A Public Hearing will be held on August 21, 2025 at 7 PM before the City Council relative to Ordinance O-2025-20-A Relating to Setbacks and Build-to Dimensions. Petitioner, City of Keene Community Development Department, proposes to amend Section 1.3.3 of the LDC to modify the definition of “Building Setback” and clarify that the Front, Side, and Rear setbacks generally apply to all buildings or structures on a lot, amend the definitions for “Build-To Line” and “Build-To Zone” to state that they apply to all principal structures with some exceptions, and amend Sec. 8.4.1.C to state that accessory structures shall not be located in the Build To Zone. Lastly, this ordinance proposes to update the “dimensions and siting” sections of the Downtown Core, Downtown Growth, Downtown Edge, Downtown Limited, Neighborhood Business, and Business Growth and Reuse zoning districts to update certain setback labels to refer to either a Build-to Line or Build-to Zone. The Ordinance is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk during regular business hours.
