Mayor Kahn presented Talee Messenger, Outreach Coordinator of the Monadnock Food Co-Op, with a Proclamation declaring the month of October 2024 a Cooperative Month in the City of Keene, saluting the cooperatives and their members for their commitment to the community and the role they play in serving Keene’s citizens. The co-operative philosophy of working together for the common good has promoted community well-being and improved the quality of life for the citizens of Keene and across our state. Monadnock Food Co-op is joining with other members of the Neighboring Food Co-op Association in endorsing the Co-op Month 2024 theme established by the National Co-operative Business Association/ CLUSA International, “The Future is Co-operative,” as an opportunity to educate members, customers, employees, policy makers and the public about the co-operative movement.
