On September 17, 2024, Mayor Kahn presented the Daughter’s of the American Revolution with a proclamation to mark the two hundred thirty-seventh anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America by the Constitutional Convention in 1787. The Constitution is our Nation’s guiding document, and it is important to recognize and celebrate its existence while recalling the strength and bravery of those who fought for The Constitution and its amendments throughout history. The proclamation asked citizens to reaffirm the ideals that the framers of the Constitution had in 1787 by vigilantly protecting the freedoms guaranteed to us through this guardian of our liberties, remembering that lost rights may never be regained.
