Beginning on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, the City of Keene’s contractor, Frank Lucius Construction, will begin water main valve replacement work, to improve system reliability, on the following streets:
- Intersection of Park Avenue and Birch Street
- Intersection of Hanover Street and Ridgewood Avenue
- Arch Street, near Bradford Street
- West Street, near Bradford Street
- Intersection of Greenwood Avenue and Kenworth Avenue
- Intersection of Kenworth Avenue and Riverton Street
This work will occur between 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and is expected to last for approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
Properties within the work area will have their water service interrupted for approximately 6 to 8 hours. Our contractor will provide affected properties with written notice (in the form of a door tag) at least 48-hours prior to the work.
Customers should also expect some minor disruption to traffic, including lane closure in the vicinity of the work. Although the work area will be properly marked and barricaded, drivers and pedestrians should use extra caution when they are near open excavations or construction equipment.
