On March 24, 2026, Mayor Jay Kahn officially proclaimed “Judith H. Putnam Day” in honor of Ms. Putnam’s remarkable 34-year tenure on the Keene Public Library Board of Trustees. Since 1992, Judy has served as a cornerstone of the institution, most notably as Board Treasurer, where she provided the “north star” of leadership through major milestones including the 2019 Masonic Temple expansion, the introduction of public internet, and the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Her dedicated stewardship of financial resources and her collaborative spirit have left the library better positioned to serve the community for generations to come, marking the conclusion of an extraordinary legacy of public service.
