Keene Dillant-Hopkins Airport (EEN) is working on a taxiway reconstruction project on the airfield for taxiways ‘A’, A3’ and ‘T’. The existing pavement has served its design life and is being reconstructed. The Scope of Work items will include but not be limited to erosion control, demolition, lighting, storm drainage, grading, paving, and marking and turf restoration for disturbed areas.
Project Update: Construction resumed Monday April 20, 2026 and is tentatively scheduled to complete on Friday June 5, 2026. This is a period of 47 days. During this time there will be periods of time that portions of TXY A as well as TXY C and TXY T will be closed. There will be days when daily closures happen to runways, but not both runways at the same time. NOTAMS will be issued in advance and Project Status Updates will be issued.
This week we successfully completed scheduled work within the runway safety area of RWY 02/20 which required daily closures of that runway.
Upcoming Impacts: Monday 4/27/26 the existing pavement will be milled out on Taxiway T and on Taxiway A between Taxiway T and Runway 14/32 safety area. Neither runway will be closed as the work is outside of the safety areas of both runways. After 7:00 Monday 4/27/26 there will not be access for planes to enter or exit the T-Hangar Ramp for 26 days. People may use tiedowns on the east ramp during this period if desired.
- Monday 4/20/26 through Monday 4/27/26 Taxiway A between Taxiway T and Taxiway A2
will be closed. - Monday 4/20/26 through Friday 5/1/26 Taxiway C will be closed.
- Monday 4/27/26 through Friday 5/1/26 Taxiway A between Runway 14/32 and Taxiway
A2 closed. - Monday 4/27/26 through Friday 5/22/26 Taxiway T closed. During this time there will be
no way to get a plane in or out of the T-Hangar area.
Keene Airport staff, our engineering team and the contractor are committed to ensuring that the work proceeds efficiently and safely. We all aim to reduce impacts to tenants and users of the Airport as much as is possible.
