The Public Works Director will declare parking bans as necessary to facilitate overnight street and parking lot maintenance operations.
During a ban, no vehicles can be parked overnight on City streets or in public on-street parking spaces. This will also apply to public parking lots from time to time. (This program has been implemented since overnight on-street parking became allowed by a recent ordinance change – it was formerly prohibited in certain locations.)
Email and text (SMS) messages will be sent to subscribers with details of each ban, and we will update the KeeneNH.gov/parkingban webpage and City social media sites.
Certain public parking lots will be available as an alternative overnight parking option when a ban is in effect. Check the web page for details, or give us a call at (603) 352-6550.
This applies year-round, not just in the winter months.
