State of NH Prohibits Kindling of Open Fires

Due to drought conditions, low water levels in many communities, and an increasing potential for wildfires, the state has established a prohibition on the kindling of any open fire and smoking in or near woodlands, until such time as the period of protracted drought or excessive dryness which requires these extraordinary precautions ceases to exist in the State of New Hampshire.  Visit the NH Department of Forests and Lands website to learn more or to subscribe to daily fire status updates.
