Dinsmoor Woods Red Pine Harvest

From April 27 through May 1, 2026, all red pines along Maple Avenue were removed to proactively address red pine scale and eliminate the safety risks posed by declining trees. The area is protected by conservation easements and will be allowed to regenerate naturally with native hardwood species, supporting the development of a healthier and more diverse forest. Red pine processing and hauling should last through mid-May 2026. Learn more by visiting our Red Pine Scale webpage or watch the October 2025 Community Call with professional foresters for a thorough history of red pine plantations and the impact of the red pine scale on this non-native tree species.

We are thrilled to launch the first season of the Monadnock View Community Gardens in our relocated site, expanding opportunities to plant, harvest, and connect. Our MVCG page outlines everything you need to know; plot rental applications are still being accepted – some with the opportunity to overwinter. Active gardening begins May 6, 2026!

Goose Pond Spillway Bridge Donation Program

The Greater Goose Pond Forest is a 1,000+ acre community treasure. Our stewardship community and volunteers built the spillway bridge in November 2025, making Goose Pond Loop Trail a true loop. We plan to celebrate this community endeavor on Saturday June 6th with an official ribbon cutting! Stay tuned for additional information!
