Public Works Week Proclamation – May 21, 2026

The City of Keene recognizes the vital role Public Works professionals play in maintaining essential infrastructure and services that support public health, safety, and quality of life. From transportation and water systems to waste management, these dedicated individuals ensure the smooth operation and sustainability of the community.

In celebration of the 66th Annual National Public Works Week, themed “Rooted in Service, Powered by Community,” the City honors the contributions of Public Works staff and encourages residents to learn more about and appreciate their work.

Mayor Jay V. Kahn has proclaimed May 17–23, 2026, as Public Works Week in Keene and invites the community to participate in activities that recognize and celebrate these essential contributions.
