Mayor Jay V. Kahn has proclaimed September 18, 2026, as Dottie Morris Day in Keene, recognizing Dr. Dottie Morris for her longstanding contributions to Keene State College and the City of Keene.
Dr. Morris has served the community through the City’s Human Rights Committee, helping shape the 2021 Declaration of Inclusion and establish Keene’s first Black History Month celebrations. She has also contributed to the Mayor’s Community Justice and Community Safety Committee and the Monadnock Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Coalition.
The proclamation honors Dr. Morris’s leadership, dedication to the community, and lasting impact on Keene and Keene State College.
