Construction Project Updates – Week of 11/9/26

The City of Keene Public Works Department announces the following construction and maintenance activities scheduled for the week of November 9, 2026. Motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through active work zones, follow posted signage, and expect minor delays.

Court Street: Beginning Monday, November 9, at 8:30 AM, Gordon’s Property Maintenance Services will install a sewer manhole and sewer main near 650 Court Street. To safely complete this work, traffic through the active construction area will be reduced to alternating one-way traffic. The work is expected to take one day, with normal traffic operations restored by the end of the workday.

Central Square and Main Street: Please refer to the Downtown Construction press release for a more detailed summary of planned construction activities and associated traffic and parking impacts.

George Street Bridge: Beginning Monday, November 9, the City’s contractor, New England Infrastructure, Inc., will perform site cleanup and grading in preparation for paving. George Street will remain closed, and traffic will continue to be detoured. This phase of work is expected to continue for approximately four weeks before the project shuts down for the winter in December 2026.

Robin Hood Park Pool: Beginning Monday, November 9, the City’s contractor, Weston & Sampson CMR, will continue selective demolition and rehabilitation work at the Robin Hood Park Pool. To safely accommodate construction activities, access to active construction and staging areas will be restricted.
