What’s the process for filling a swimming pool
When filling your swimming pool there are two options:
- Pay for water/sewer charges ($11.64 per hundred cubic feet (HCF) – approximately 750 gallons)
- Have City personnel come out and install a spacer so you will only pay for water charges ($5.35 per HCF), this option also requires a $90 service fee ($45 to install spacer and $45 to remove spacer)
Either way you will pay for the water but it may prove less expensive to pay the water and sewer charges rather than to incur the service charges to remove and reinstall spacer.
Your first step is to calculate how many gallons of water your pool will take to fill. A pool filling calculator can be found here.
If your pool needs
- Less than 10,732 gallons, it will be less expensive for you to use your water through your meter and pay water and sewer charges.
- More than 10,732 gallons, it will be less expensive for you to contact the City to have your meter temporarily removed and a spacer installed. No sewer charge will be applied. Please call 603-352-3239 to schedule an appointment to have your water meter temporarily removed and a spacer installed.
