Mayor Kahn’s Keene High Youth Council was formed to ensure that student perspectives are incorporated into the City of Keene's services and plans, and to help young adults in our region become more aware of city and state government policies and priorities.
Since the council’s launch last year, students have served as a focus group ensuring youth voices were incorporated into the City’s Master Planning process. This fall, members have participated in a mental health first aid certificate program led by the YMCA. Students in grades 9-12 are invited and encouraged to join and have their voices heard! Any interested Keene High student can join - you don’t have to be a Keene resident.
Please apply by February 14 If you’d like to join and see what it’s all about, please email Dr. G (cgallagher@sau29.org). The first meeting is February 20, 2025 during I-Time.
