The City Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for fiscal years 2027-2036 will be reviewed in upcoming public meetings. These meetings start Tuesday, March 10th. The proposed plan will be reviewed by City department representatives at a special Finance, Organization, and Personnel (FOP) meeting in City Hall on 3/10/26 at 5:30 PM. Also, the FOP review will continue at the 3/12/26 meeting, also at 5:30 PM. There will be a public hearing for the CIP on 3/19/26 at 7 PM. Furthermore, it will be reviewed at the 3/23/26 Planning Board meeting at 6:30 PM. From there, the FOP Committee will make a recommendation for adoption at its 3/26/26 meeting at 6:00 PM. This recommendation will be considered by the full City Council at its 4/2/26 meeting at 7:00 PM. All of these meetings are open to the public. All meetings will take place in City Hall.
The CIP is a key planning document focused on sustained investment in the community’s strategic, long-term goals. It is a financial plan guided by City Council Goals and the City’s Comprehensive Master Plan. The plan is designed to meet community needs within the boundaries established by the City Council’s Fiscal Policy. Capital expenditures are included in the seven-year program, including projects with a minimum estimated cost of $35,000 and an anticipated useful life of at least five years. Members of the public are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and provide input on the proposed program.
