Spring Water System Flushing: Week 1

The City of Keene Public Works Department will begin its annual spring water main flushing program on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 10:00 PM. Work will be performed at night between the hours of 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM to minimize any inconvenience to our customers in the form of discolored water or traffic delays.

This maintenance program is designed to clean mineral deposits from the water mains. It allows us to exercise city water valves and hydrants to keep them operational for firefighting, water main breaks and other emergencies. The first week of flushing will end at 6:00 AM on Friday, April 11, 2025.
