The City of Keene Public Works Department will be flushing the water mains in the Fox Avenue area. This work may affect the following streets:
- Fox Avenue
- Fox Circle
- Foxwood Avenue
This work will take place on Monday, June 29, 2026, between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
This maintenance program is designed to clean mineral deposits from the water mains and allows us to exercise city water valves and hydrants to keep them operational for firefighting, water main breaks and other emergencies.
It is recommended that residents limit their water use during these hours due to low pressure and temporary water discoloration.
We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience during this process.
If you experience discolored water, run cold water from a faucet without an aerator for approximately 10 minutes. If the water does not clear, turn the faucet off, wait 30 minutes, and repeat the process. If laundry becomes stained, do not place it in the dryer. Contact the Public Works Department at (603) 352-6550. We can provide a product designed to remove the stains.
