Keene Dillant-Hopkins Airport (EEN) Reconstruct Taxiway ‘A’ (3,500’ x 35’) ReconstructTaxiway ‘A3’ (440’ x 35’) and Reconstruct Taxiway ‘T’ (250’ x 25’) Update #13

Keene Dillant-Hopkins Airport (EEN) is working on a taxiway reconstruction project on the airfield for taxiways ‘A’, A3’ and ‘T’. The existing pavement has served its design life and is being reconstructed. The Scope of Work items will include but not be limited to erosion control, demolition, lighting, storm drainage, grading, paving, and marking and turf restoration for disturbed areas.
Project Update: Construction resumed Monday April 20, 2026 and is tentatively scheduled to complete on Friday June 5, 2026. This is a period of 47 days. During this time there will be periods of time that portions of TXY A as well as TXY C and TXY T will be closed. There will be days when daily closures happen to runways, but not both runways at the same time. NOTAMS will be issued in advance and Project Status Updates will be issued.

This week we successfully completed scheduled work on TXY A between RWY 14/32 and TXY A2 as well as on TXY T. All this work is on schedule. Upcoming Impacts: TXY T and the T-Hangar Ramp remain closed 24 hours a day, at this point we are still on schedule to reopen those on Friday 5/22/26.

  • Friday 5/1/26 through Friday 5/22/26 Taxiway A between Runway 14/32 and Taxiway A3 closed.
  • Monday 4/27/26 through Friday 5/22/26 Taxiway T closed. During this time there will be no way to get a plane in or out of the T-Hangar area.
  • Beginning Tuesday 5/12/26 and Friday 5/22/26 there will be daily closures of RWY 14/32 as needed to perform work within the RWY 14/32 safety area.

Additional Work: As a completely separate project the T-Hangar Ramps will be getting an update. This project is part of the City CIP and is scheduled for the current fiscal cycle. It was intended to do this work at the same time that the area was closed for TXY T reconstruction, and it looks as though it will work out that way. This is a mill and overlay update, not full reconstruction so no changes will happen to the elevation or grade of the pavement, but the top coat will be new. Milling of the top coat of the ramp pavement is scheduled for Tuesday 5/12 or Wednesday 5/13. During this time tenant access to their hangars will be restricted. Paving of the ramp is tentatively scheduled for the 19th or 20th.
