The Keene City Council has passed Ordinance O-2021-16-B: Relating to the Wearing of Face Coverings. The full document is posted here and is effective 12/20/2021. There is also a FAQ page posted here. In summary, the ordinance requires employees and members of the public to wear face masks in interior public spaces to help limit the spread of COVID-19. Please read the ordinance to get full details on when and where masks are required specifically, and refer to the CDC for mask selection and use guidance (https://www.cdc.gov/.../prevent.../about-face-coverings.html). The document includes details about multi-unit apartment complexes, types of businesses and business spaces included in the requirement, people with medical or developmental conditions, businesses' notice requirements, penalties, etc. The City Council will be reviewing the ordinance for possible termination at least every 60 days.
