Donations to the Book Fund or of an Existing Book
- The library welcomes monetary donations for new books and audio-visual materials. Checks can be made payable to the Keene Public Library.
- Donations of existing books or audio-visual materials are also welcomed. If items are not added to the collection, they are put in the Friends of the Library Book Sales. Proceeds are used to purchase items and support programming for the library.
- The Friends do not take magazines, encyclopedias, textbooks, readers digest abridged books, library discards or books older than 3 years on travel, business, finance & health. They are not able to take cassette, VHS or 8-track tapes.
- If you add a book as a tribute or memorial or make a donation for a book, a bookplate can be put in the front of the book, indicating that it is a gift in memory of a person.
Donations to the Friends of the Keene Public Library
The Friends of the Keene Public Library welcomes contributions. Donations and membership fees should be made payable to the "Friends of the KPL" and mailed to the library.
Donation to the Endowment Fund
Keene Public Library offers innovative outreach programs to meet the needs of all segments of our community. The yearly income from the Trustees of the Keene Public Library Endowment Fund is used to increase youth and adult literacy, bring programs and services into the community, and partner with other community organizations to share the joy of reading and learning.
Other Ways To Contribute
Arrangements can be made for a memorial trust, planned giving, or a stock gift. A member of the Keene Public Library Board of Trustees will be happy to discuss with you what your interest is and how we might join together for the benefit of the community.
