Parking Ban Notifications
Get Notified when a ban has been declared
When inclement weather is forecast, the Public Works Director will declare a Winter Weather Parking Ban, and the City will notify the public via:
- email and text (SMS)
- this KeeneNH.gov/snow web page
Notices will be made at least 6 hours in advance and will include A) information about when the ban starts and B) alternative parking options. Follow-up notices will also be issued as necessary, including when the ban is lifted.
Winter Weather Parking Ban Rules
When a Winter Weather Parking Ban has been declared, vehicles must be moved to off-street parking locations to allow for road maintenance operations such as snow plowing. Certain public parking lots will be available to provide alternative overnight parking options.

Except when the Public Works Director has declared a Winter Weather Parking Ban, overnight on-street parking is allowed year-round where it is not otherwise prohibited. (This is a change from previous years, when a winter parking ban was in place every day from November 1st to April 30th.)
